Description:
Consider it a Coffee Break from Angry Liberals.
"I recently asked my friends' little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do? '

She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people..'

Her parents beamed with pride.

'Wow...what a worthy goal..' I told her, 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house. '

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, ' Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50? '

I said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.'

Her parents still aren't speaking to me."

Please pray for President Obama to see unborn,
and newly born children as the humans that they are.

Unfair and Unbalanced
AIM Column | By Lynn Woolley | November 12, 2008
....The Fairness Doctrine is going to make a comeback, in one form or another,
and the only thing that might stop it is the American people. They must realize
that if the new liberal majority takes away the right of talk hosts to comment—
it is also taking away their right to listen.

Dear President Obama,

"I am kind. Unlike the cruel Leonidas, who demanded that you stand, I require only that you kneel.
- Xerxes

You wanted "change", but were you REALLY seeking Socialism,
more Abortions, including the most gruesome Partial Birth Abortion,
and outright Infanticide.
Americans, never let it be forgotten that our government is a REPUBLIC.
Our elected officials are our representatives, not our masters.
They are accountable to us, not only on election day, but every day.
If they forget that, remind them.
Let your representatives know.
- HOUSE and SENATE

Can we Trust what this man says?

Remember this interview with Biden when he was questioned about Socialism
and Marxism? He denied the agenda up and down. Now Big Government is in control of
banks, controlling the auto industry, even firing the head of this private organization.
Nationalized health care is looming along with talks of how to sidestep the
Constitution (that pesky document) and "mandate" "volunteerism". How far we've come
since the days of campaign denials. Do your part and speak up Americans. It's still
YOUR COUNTRY.

The video above was removed due to "terms of use violations".
Perhaps it was the caption "Biden Intentionally Misleads".
Here is another copy of the interview. YOU be the judges.

If you consider yourself a conservative this may be a place you'd like to visit. This community is intended for like minded individuals to discuss current topics and concerns. Topics will mostly be about American life and politics, but conservatives and guests from other countries are more than welcome. If you request to join, please participate in English as it is the language most commonly understood in this community. Those of you who subscribe to the more liberal ways of thinking are welcome to join but keep in mind that this is not a liberal vs. conservative debating community. If that is your interest "Conservatism" is an excellent community.

An important note on Community Membership:
We have a general rule of only accepting "real people" in this community. Although we are rather "liberal" with community memberships, we do insist that our members be somewhat upfront with us. If your account was just made yesterday and/or you have nothing to show who you are on your profile, within your journal, etc, you might be rejected, even if, in reality, you happen to be the greatest, nicest, friendliest conservative on the planet. =D We are happy to allow new nondescript accounts made by older lj users if they just let us know they are creating a new account. Anyone who creates an anonymous looking account just today to join this community will likely not be accepted. Thanks for your understanding. :)

If you are NOT conservative in any way, please keep this in mind when posting: If you decide to come in here the assumption is you would like to learn what we're about, not pound your way of thinking into us. If you post insults, obscenities, or flaming statements judging conservatives in this group you are only showing your own ignorance and your posts will not be displayed. **If we are in such a mood that they ARE displayed, it will be according to OUR discretion and YOUR own risk. I wouldn't bother if I were you. You might think this is a lot like what's happening to free speech in the USA. If so, you're probably one of us. ;)

Conservatives have a right to their opinions. We are not "Right Wing Extremists". Your disagreement with us does not make us wrong; we believe we are more "right" than you naturally. Belief is perception and perception is everything after all. In a nutshell, please be respectful and courteous to other members of the community at all times.

Posts are screened and any inappropriate posts will be deleted except as noted above**. If you would like to post a new topic, please join the community and start a new thread. Please do not advertise your own communities in this one. Casual mention in a comment is not a big deal, and we may even like you so much that we'll give you special billing, but we are not a billboard. Once a topic is started, let's remain on that topic for the remainder of that particular thread. As long as your post is stated respectfully and is not excessively inflammatory it will be un-moderated. Remember, if you disagree, you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.

Technical Stuff:
1. If your post contains large pictures or more than 25 lines of text,
please put the bulk of it behind an "lj-cut". ;) - We like to be considerate of all our members who don't prefer to see super long or large posts clogging up their friends page in addition to the community page.

2a. If you are going to post someone else's material you MUST give credit to that person, news source, etc. The simplest way to do this is to make sure that the heading of your post links directly to the article.

2b. If you do decide to share someone else's work that's fine, as long as you post some of your own commentary along with it (above the cut please). This shows respect for other members' time by allowing them to know basically what your point is, or what you found interesting about your post without having to click and view something long (and perhaps uninteresting). Logically speaking, you posted it for a reason - what is that reason?

3. Posts are moderated by default. Some members who have posted consistently have received un-moderated status. If you repeatedly violate community guidelines after receiving this privilege you risk forfeiting that privilege and should not be surprised to have your posts once again moderated, or not allowed at all.

4. Absolutely NO NAME CALLING. If you are having difficulty with another individual please keep the conversation mature or take the high road and move on. - Please be aware that name-calling also includes bigoted statements, judging another based on race, religion, sex, nationality, etc.

5. As this is not an "adult only" oriented community, please refrain from posting any type of pornography or overtly sexually explicit language.

The rules are intended to be fair and simple. Hope you find that to be true and, as always, we appreciate your interest in the community.

Thought for the Day:
Pledging to work for protection of "the inviolability of human life from conception to natural death",
Pope Benedict XVI stated:
"Freedom to kill is not a true freedom but a tyranny that reduces the human being to slavery."
