Warren Buffet Complains He Doesn't Pay Enough Taxes, Refuses to Send in More than Required [Aug. 15th, 2011|09:08 am]
Conservatives Corner

[music | Dario Marianelli - The Soloist]

If Warren Buffet is so rich and is guilty that he doesn't pay enough taxes, why doesn't he write a check to the Federal government and give more than his tax bill?

Furthermore, why does he have to rub the fact that he's rich and the rest of us aren't in our faces? There was once a time when braggadocios behavior was considered impolite.

OUR leaders have asked for “shared sacrifice.” But when they did the asking, they spared me. I checked with my mega-rich friends to learn what pain they were expecting. They, too, were left untouched.

He continues to talk about how he pays less taxes than his employees without mentioning that he isn't paying income tax, or what he paid in taxes working his way up to only being paid through capital gains.

Like most statists or scumbags who advocate for ever higher taxes for every solution now that he's got his he wants to make certain no one else can get there.

Pat Buchanan Challenges Warren Buffett: 'Set an Example and Send a Check for $5 Billion to the Federal Government'
"'You know, you had a plan up there, I talked to Howie Carr at Boston where the super-rich could contribute an extra amount. It was something like one-tenth of one percent did it. You get all this noise from these big rich folks. Let them send checks and set an example instead of writing op-eds.'"

"Why doesn't every outlet that likes this idea follow Buchanan's lead and challenge Buffett to put his money where his mouth is and send the federal government a nice fat check?"

God bless Pat Buchanan! Too bad he and George W are the only politicians with enough balls to publicly go out and tell Buffet to put up or shut up.
